Michael J. McGrath: ABCDT

Michael is a certified dog trainer through Animal Behavior College. With specialty degrees in Helping Shelter Animals, The Art of Teaching Private Lessons, and Pet Nutrition. Michael is also an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator (All Levels), AKC Fit Dog Evaluator, AKC Fetch Judge, AKC Trick Dog Evaluator (All Levels), AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Evaluator, as well as an AKC Temperament Test Judge. Michael teaches 25+ group classes ranging from Puppy Kindergarten through Basic Obedience Level 4, per week and has done so on Cape Cod for OVER A DECADE! Michael’s specialty area is in working with fear reactive dogs and helping their owners learn to overcome or manage these issues and live a content life. Doing over 200+ private trainings per year. Michael’s heart is in helping dogs (especially rescue) and their owners reach their greatest potential through training, so that they can live happy fulfilled lives together. His philosophy is simple stick to the 3 P’s: Patience, Persistence, and Positivity. If you stick with the 3 P’s they sky is the limit to what you and your dog can achieve.

Marc Marshall: MJO Certied Trainer, AKC CGC Evaluator

Marc’s family long time repeat client’s of Michaels introduced Marc to the school with his Rottweiler Nyx in 2021 and has been with us here at MJObedience ever since. Marc has always been fantastic with dogs from a very young age. After starting classes with Michael with his dog Nyx it was clear to see he had a knack for training. After Multi-Year Apprenticeship under Michael, Marc has achieved MJO Certified Trainer credentials. His knowledge ever-expanding. His people skills are fantastic and his advice has grown to be solid and sound. Now leading his own classes here at MJO and thriving as a young trainer. Along with this Marc and Nyx are also competing in Rally Obedience and have titled doing so. In just his 1st year he put in so much hard work he and Nyx earned almost 10 TITLES!!! Such an amazing feat for a young man and a young dog. We could be more proud of Marc’s progression.
